Oh man!! I picked the wrong day to volunteer for Eureka Science. The kids were dissecting owl pellets and I had to help them!! Yuck!! And to my mistake, an owl pellet is not the owl’s poop, but it is something equally as disgusting. After the owl eats it’s prey, it will throw up, in a tight little ball, the non-digestible remains of the animal it ate. So we had to help the kids dissect their owl pellet to determine what type of animal the owl ate. Colin was fascinated!! He thought it was the coolest thing ever! By the end, we were pretty sure that the sneaky owl ate a small poor helpless little bird.
P.S. For what it’s worth, I think Colin was more excited to see brother visit him at Eureka than his own mom!! What the?? LOL.
